The Charity Kitchen – “Al-Takiyya”… Food with Dignity
In Gaza, where war has scarred every home, dining tables are no longer what they used to be. Some families no longer have kitchens, while others have nothing left to cook.
Amid these harsh conditions, the Charity Kitchen Project (Al-Takiyya) emerges as an urgent response – providing hot meals, prepared with love and served with dignity – to families who have lost everything and are left only with patience.
Why Al-Takiyya?
-
Because there are mothers who cannot find food to cook for their children.
-
Because widows and the elderly often lack the ability to prepare meals or even secure the ingredients.
-
Because many families spend their days surviving on cold meals – or nothing at all.
-
Because Al-Takiyya does more than offer food; it restores a sense of safety, belonging, and dignity.
How Does the Charity Kitchen Work?
-
Preparing hot, daily meals in a safe and hygienic environment.
-
Delivering meals to damaged homes and shelters.
-
Reaching the most vulnerable: the elderly, women, children, and the sick.
-
Operating permanently or periodically, depending on donations and available resources.
Our Goal Is Simple… That No One Remains Hungry
We do not merely fill stomachs – we ease the weight of a heavy day, and bring a fleeting moment of warmth into the life of a family exhausted by deprivation.
Through your support of this project, you are not just giving a meal; you are giving someone the reassurance that they are remembered, valued, and cared for.
Be Part of “Al-Takiyya”
Gaza needs more than solidarity; it needs action.
Your meal equals resilience, dignity, and hope.
